Join the Arcadia Community Boosters for an afternoon of 4th of July fun at the park by the Middle Loup River. Be sure to stay for the fireworks display after dark. 

The Ord Area Chamber of Commerce and Valley County Economic Development offices will be closed Wednesday, July 4 in honor of Independence Day. 

North Loup Fireworks will take place in town on Wednesday, July 4! 

Come early for family-friendly activities...

The splash pad is open and a Chicago ball game will take place before the fireworks! Bring the whole family for the grand fireworks display in Ord's Bussell Park.

KING FM will be kicking off the Summer Window Sticker Promotion at Speeds’s Apple Market in Ord on Thursday, July 5th. We will broadcast live from Speed’s from 11-1 pm. Stop in to get your KING FM window sticker for your vehicle to get entered for a chance to win $139 cash, T-shirts and even concert tickets! Larry will also be having a free BBQ serving AJ’s famous hot dogs. Stop in for free BBQ and get your KING FM window sticker at Speed’s Apple Market.

 

Team spots are now filled. Please still plan to join us for the live auction and raffles after the tournament. 

Your participation allows us to give support for a variety of needs at Valley County Health System. 

This annual tournament is a 4-person scramble with an 8:00am shotgun start. Registration forms will be mailed soon. If you have not golfed with us before and would like one sent your way, please let us know. 

We invite the public to join us for the live auction and raffles immediately following the tournament (approximately 4:00pm) at the golf course, and enjoy some delicious appetizers.

OHS Alumni Open House at The Golden Husk Theatre on Friday, July 6th during the Ord Farmer's Market.

Take a tour of the theatre, enjoy free popcorn and lemonade and pick up a copy of the new Venture to Valley County travel guide!

Online entry is available at ordcountryrun18.itemorder.com. Enter online before June 25. Include each person's name, gender, age and race they will be entering.

The event runs through July 22. 

A dutch oven cooking demonstration will take place at Fort Hartsuff State Historical Park at 10:30 am. Visit with Laura and Sara about Dutch oven cooking techniques and sample three recipes. There is no charge for the demonstration.

Jeff Barnes will also be speaking about his newest book, Nebraska's Landmark Buildings, at the Enlisted Men's Barracks beginning at 3:00 pm.

A Nebraska Park Permit is required and available at Post Headquarters.

The Roy's Place/Elyria Garden's food trailer will be on site to feed you from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm!

Roy's Place/Elyria Gardens Catering is returning for another pop-up at Scratchtown. Sharing another flavor of the world, this time featuring Caribbean cuisine. Food will be served from 5-8pm or while supplies last; cash or credit are accepted forms of payment. Cost for the meal is $15.00.
