Not a car show with trophies, just good conversation and hanging out with old friends and new. 

Valley Fire Espresso will be open for lattes and Scratchtown Brewing Company is hosting their Beer, Brats & Bags at 12 pm on the opposite side of the square!

It's been too long, and it's time to freshen up those Loup Valley bragging rights. Cornhole is back!

Join Scratchtown Brewing Company at 12pm for quality local craft beer, delicious AJ Cetak's Meat Market bratwurst and cornhole. We have room for up to 16 2-person teams. Sign-up will begin in the taproom on Thursday, April 19 and will remain open until filled. There is NO entry fee. Teams MUST consist of two players.

Day-of check-in for teams will be 11:30am in the taproom. 

The winning team will receive $50 in ChamberBucks, winner take all.

Junior Bugs, currently in 3rd through 8th grade, are invited to attend CCC Ord Learning Center's FREE bug camp!

The junior bugs will learn about decomposition, Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches and other important decomposers. This activity includes live arthropods.

The kids will enjoy learning all about pheromones & insect communication. The activity includes live termites and other arthropods.

Little Bugs, currently in preschool or kindergarten, are invited to attend CCC Ord Learning Center's FREE bug camp.
The little bugs will learn how to tell the difference between insects, spiders, and other arthropods. They will get to create their own arthropods! This activity will include live arthropods.

Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.

May is Beef Month. We proudly live in beef country. We love beer and American Craft Beer Week is also in May. So we do what is necessary: pair our smoked beerfest with a BBQ competition to celebrate both.

With our partners at the Nebraska Cattlemen - Burwell Affiliate, we hope to raise both funds & food for the Ord Food Pantry. This is an opportune time to help our local Pantry when they need it most, and we want to a bigger difference in 2018! Please help us make that happen!
 

Nebraska Rancher, Poet and Western Humorist R.P. Smith and Canadian Songstress, Musician and Writer Eli Barsi are performing a concert at The Golden Husk on Saturday, May 19th at 7:00 pm! 

The two western performers have headlined many Cowboy Gatherings across the nation and look forward to bringing their brand of "the west" to you! This will be a fun evening with a steady flow and good mix of live music and poetry.

Eli will be on tour from Saskatchewan, Canada with stops in Nebraska, Kansas and Branson, MO. She will be performing original songs from her albums as well as some tasty standards and sharing stories from her prairie home. She will also be joined on stage by her husband John Cunningham who lends superb upright bass, harmonies and harmonica to the show. R.P. is a natural entertainer with his clever words, precise timing and great rhyming! The duo will present a two hour concert and provide CDs and book offerings!

The Shrine Circus is coming to Ord! Two performances will take place - 4:00 & 7:00 pm - at the Valley County Fairgrounds.

Join us for our first pop-up restaurant event, ever! We're hosting RoyandLisa Farrens from Roy's Place / Elyria Gardens Catering to share a taste of the world, starting with Greek cuisine. Food will be served from 5-8pm or while supplies last; cash or credit are accepted forms of payment.

THE MENU:

Appetizer: Baba ghanoush (eggplant dip with grilled pita bread, and grape leaves stuffed with lamb)

Entree: Souvlakia me kolikithia with kounoupithi me amygthalo (beef kabobs marinated in red wine and olive oil, grilled and served over rice with side of cauliflower and pine nuts)

Dessert: baklava (layers of Philo dough, honey, sugar and walnuts)

Join the Ord Volunteer Fire Department for their annual Pancake Feed. Treat the whole family for a breakfast of pancakes, sausage and eggs on Sunday, May 27 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Ord Fire Hall. 

The Ord Area Chamber of Commerce & Valley County Economic Development offices will be closed Monday, May 28 in observance of Memorial Day.
