Laboratory Manager



Job Description


Valley County Health System is currently seeking a Manager for our Laboratory. Responsibilities: Manages, monitors, and maintains effective department operations in the area of the laboratory to insure effective and efficient department performance and high quality service. Facilitates the operations of the laboratory to meet industry best practices. Ensures compliance of all applicable state and federal regulations. Manages departmental financial operations, promotes a professional and positive work environment, influence retention and enhance communication. Manages all aspects of department operations in a manner that reflects our core mission, vision and values.
Requirements: Education: Current laboratory AMT or ASCP certification or its equivalent, Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology. Experience: Management experience and history of independent problem-solving skills with self-directed work experience. Proficient in usage of computer operations in laboratory environment along with demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous leadership skills. Perform waived, moderately complex and highly complex testing accurately
